
Active Duty Entrepreneur is a course designed to guide those interested in developing a business while continuing to serve on active duty (veteran course is available as well). The course is outlines the benefits and options of starting up your own business as opposed to resume writing and interviewing as taught in TAPS. Throughout this course, you will be guided step by step in the following areas:
- Business Development:
Start the business formation process. Outline what type of business you’d like to open and measure pros and cons of the business. - Licensing:
What licenses is your business responsible for? Is this a home based business, online/digital, separate business office? - Permitting:
Does your business need to file for a Seller’s Permit? If conducting business physically onsite at a location, what permits need to be held? - Basic Accounting:
Requirements for business banking, habits, and basic tracking of spending. How do you pay yourself first? How do you maintain business while deployed?
This is an extensive 6 week course (accelerated options are available) where upon completion of the course you will have your business registered, EIN available, and ready to do business!
